In the name of Allah, the most beneficent, the Most Merciful!

 AsSalamoalaikum WA Rahmatullah WA Barakatuhu!!

 I would first like to highlight the basic principles i.e., five pillars of Islam.

1) FAITH

2) PRAYER (SALAH)

3) COMPULSORY CHARITY (ZAKAAH)

4) FASTING (SAWM)

5) PILGRIMAGE (HAJJ)

ABSTAINER OF SALAH (PRAYER)

A person who does not offer Prayers regularly. Salaah is the name for obligatory prayers which are performed five times a day, and are a direct link between the worshipper and God. There is no hierarchical authority in Islam and no priest, so the prayers, are led by a learned person chosen by the congregation who knows the QUR'AN. Prayers are Fardh (obligatory) on every Muslim and Muslimah. we are supposed to guide our children from the age of 7 years and becomes Fardh (obligatory) on them at the age of 10.(Abu Dawood).If they do not listen we are even supposed to beat them!!. This show how important is salaah.

Now i m going to translate a pamphlet in your service written by Respected sheikh Muhammad bin Saleh bin Usaimin (Hafzaho Allah) translated in Urdu by Abu al Mukarrama Abdul Jaleel Jazahum Allah Khair.

And I m now translating it in to English so that it becomes still easier to understand for those who do not understand Urdu well. This might contain mistakes , so please forgive me for that because i m not a scholar , i m just a student and trying to pass the knowledge I received as the prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said "pass on knowledge from me even if it be a verse",  so i hope even you all will do the same.

Allah swt says in the Holy Quran chapter 29, V. No. 69,

As for those who strive hard in us (our cause) we will surely guide them to our path (i.e Allah's Religion Islamic monotheism).And Verily, Allah is with the" Muhsinon"

(Good doers).

Alhamdulilah was salatu was Salam ala nabiee ye Na Muhammad WA ala alihi WA sahbihi amma ba'ad: It is in the form of a question and answer.

q) If a man orders his family members to pray and they do not listen, so what is he supposed to do? Shall he stay with them and behave well as usual or shall he leave his house?

A) If his family members do not pray regularly then they are "Kafir" and apostate and they are out of Islamic circle, it is not permitted to stay with them, but you should continuously give them knowledge of Islam and Dawah, it is compulsory .May be Allah swt will bring them to the straight path. Because Abstainer of salaah -Allah swt saves us-in the light of Quran + Sunna and sayings of sahaba's and from right prospective is "Kafir"(disbeliever).

(English translator's note: Kufr is basically disbelief in any article of faith in Islam.

1) Kufr al takdhib:-This implies disbelieving the Divine truth or denying of any of Articles of Faith.

2) Kufr al Iba wat takabbur ma "at-tasdiq". This implies rejection and pride to submit to Allah's commandments after conviction of their truth

Almighty Allah says:

"And (remember) when we said to the angels" Prostrate yourself before Adam" And they prostrated, save Iblies, he refused and was proud and was one of the disbelievers (disobedient to Allah)"(the Qur'an2:34).Satan disobeyed once and what is the punishment he got, you all know it very well. Think for a moment in a day how many times we disobey Allah?? Then see the greatness of your Lord, how merciful He is, when we repent He forgives - Siobhan Allah.

Many a time’s people go to market places and skip 2 or 3 times salaah and say "oh! We will do "khaza" (meaning pray afterwards at other time). Very good excuse! Pray wherever you are. Allah says He has created the earth as a Masjid for you to prostrate. Can’t you have a Musallah (prayer carpet) always whenever you are our? When the time for prayer comes spread it and pray in a clean place, men can go to the nearby mosque. This curiousness will Insha Allah develop in you after reading the result of Abstainer of salaah).

THE EVIDENCE FROM QURAN TO PROVE ABSTAINER OF SALAAH "KAAFIR"(DISBELIEVER)

Allah swt says regarding the Mushrikon in Surah Tauba, chapter 9 V.No.11

"But if they repent, offer prayers perfectly (Iqamat as Salat) and give Zakat (obligatory charity) then they r your brethren in religion. (In this way) we explain the ayahs (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations etc) in detail for a people who know."

The meaning of this ayah is that if they do not do this work they are not your brethren and Islamic brotherhood would not become non existence by doing major sins but it will become non existence by going out of the Islamic circle.

(Few more evidences can be taken from the Quran.

Allah says in Surah Muddathir, chapter 74, V. No. 40-43:

 "In gardens they will ask one another ","about Al Mujrimon (criminals, disbelievers)","(and they will say to them):"what has caused you to enter Hell?”” they will say:” We were not of those who used to offer their prayers"

Allah says several times in many Sarah’s "do righteous deed"-these deeds include salaah.

One such example is in Surah Asr, chapter 103, V.No.3

"Except those who believe and do righteous deeds and recommend on other to truth”

Allah says in Surah al Bayyinah, chapter 98, V. No.7

"Verily, those who believe (including all obligations ordered by Islam) and do righteous deeds they are the best of creatures"

So, WAKE UP DEAR READER BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!! Open your eyes, and realize the truth! Look before u leap)

(# the text in the bracket is not in the pamphlet i m stressing this again and again because i m adding some extra information that is not present in the pamphlet’s must bring it to your notice that it is not present other wise it will be a lie)

EVIDENCE OF A PERSON BEING "KAAFIR" (DISBELIEVER) FROM HADEES (SAYING'S OF PROPHET (PBUH))

The prophet (PBUH) said:-

"The difference between faith (Iman) and Kufr (disbelief) is only abstaining of salaah. (Sahih Muslim)

Also reported by Bareeda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated in Hades which is in Sunna

The prophet (PBUH) said:-

"The contract or agreement between us and them (Kufr) is that of the prayer, so whoso ever leaves prayer has done Kufr (disbelief)” (Nisaee)

(What does u call a person sinning?   -sinner

What does u call a person driving?     -driver

What does u call a person swimming?  -swimmer

Then what will u call a person doing Kufr? Kafir)

Left are the sayings of Sahaba (companions) so Ameer ul Momineen Omar bin al Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said:-

"Whosoever left prayers (compulsory salaah) for him there is no share in Islam"

And "Khat" in Arabic means to share-in this search it goes common noun and negative negation it is proved that, perhaps it will be common and its interpretation will be that there will not be any share for this type of person, nor large not small.

(The Urdu translator is trying to explain regarding the Arabic text of the Hades)

And Abdullah bin Shaqeeq says:-

"The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) of Rasool Allah (PBUH) did not consider any work's abstaining except salaah as Kufr"

(Tirmidhi - Bab Majaa fi tark us salaah, Hades No.6267)

And in the right prospective the evidence of "Abstainer of salaah" to be a "disbeliever" is that- does a sound mind accept that a person in whose has Iman (faith) in his heart even to the weight of an atom and he knows the greatness of salaah and he also knows that Allah (Swt) has kept a special position for salaah. Even then he is insistent to leave salaah? - THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!!

Those evidences which reason that an abstainer of salaah is not a kefir, I have looked into these proofs and i have come to a conclusion that these proof's are listed below in 4 conditions

1) Either in these proofs, there is no evidence in order of an abstainer of salaah being a disbeliever.

2) Or, either it is bound to any other attribute which when present the question of abstaining salaah cannot even be imagined.

3) Or, it is bound to such a condition in which person leaving salaah is excusable.

4) Or, either those proofs are common in which those Ahades claim the abstainer of salaah the “disbeliever" will be specialized.

And when it is clear that the abstainer of salaah is a disbeliever on him/her the rulings of apostate will be applied. It should be clear that no where in definitive verse of the Holy Quran + Saheeh Sunna, this statement is arriving that abstainer of salaah is a Mumin, or he will enter paradise, or he will be saved from hell fire, or any other saying like wise, on the basis of which we may need the interpretation of those Ahades in which abstainer of salaah is regarded to have done a small Kufr. Anyways, rulings of "Abstainer of salaah (apostates) are listed below:-

1)  It is not correct to marry him/her, and if Nikah has taken place and he/she doesn’t pray then Nikah is futile and his wife will not be permitted for him, because Allah swt says regarding emigrant women

In Surah Mumtahanah, chapter 60, v. No. 10:

"O you who believe! when believing women come to you as emigrants , examine them , Allah knows best as to their faith, then if you know them for true believers, send them not back to disbelievers, they are not lawful(wives) for the disbelievers nor are the disbelievers lawful ( husbands) for them"

2)  If after marriage this person becomes abstainer of salaah then marriage will be cancelled and as per above ayah his wife will not be Halal (permitted) to him.

3)  The sacrifice done by this abstainer of salaah will not be eaten, because his sacrifice is Haram (prohibited), but if the sacrifice is done by Jew or Christian it is lawful to eat it- Naudhbillah - Jew or a Christian’s sacrifice is better than his.

4)  Abstainer of salaah cannot enter into boundary of Makkah Mukarrama, because

 Allah swt says in Surah Tauba, chapter 9, v. No. 27:-

"O you who believe, verily the Mushrikon (polytheist, disbelievers etc) are "Najsun" (impure)! So let them not come near Al Masjid al Haram after this year"

5)  If any of his relative dies then in his ancestral property there is no right for him. For e.g.; if dad dies and leaves a son who is abstainer of salaah and a far relative i.e.; son of paternal uncle (cousin), then who will be the inheritor? His cousin will be his inheritor and not the son who is the abstainer of salaah. Because Osama (may Allah be pleased with him) reported in a Hades that:

The Prophet (PBUH) said:

"A Muslim will not be an inheritor of a disbeliever nor will a disbeliever be the inheritor of a Muslim."(Agreed upon)

Second Hades the Prophet (PBUH) said:

"Let the ordained share of ancestral property reach their owners, and whatever remains from what is ordained it is for the dead person’s close relative."(Agreed upon).

And this one example is applicable on all possessors of ancestral property.

6)  If the abstainer of salaah dies , so he will not be given funeral bath nor will be wrapped in a cloth nor his funeral prayer will be prayed , nor he will be buried in a Muslim graveyard. THEN WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO HIS DEAD BODY??

He should be taken to a desert area and a place is dogged and he is buried in the same cloth because he is not worthy of respect!!

Perhaps, if near by anyone, such a person dies and he knows that he was an abstainer of salaah then it is not permitted for him/her to bring him in front of Muslims for funeral prayer.

7)  Abstainer of salaah will be raised on the day of resurrection with big disbelievers like Pharaoh, human , Quran , and Ali bin Half and he will not enter paradise and it is not lawful for any of his family members to make supplication of forgiveness for the deceased because disbeliever is not worthy of forgiveness .

Allah swt says in Surah Tauba, chapter 9, v. No. 113:

"It is not proper for the prophet and those who believe to ask Allah's forgiveness for the "Mushrikon"(disbelievers) even though they are of kin, after it has become clear to them that they are the dwellers of the fire."

My respected sisters and brothers! The task of abstaining salaah is very calamitous but i am distressed to say that some people are careless about this and they bear with the abstainer of salaah in their houses, yet it is not permitted. Abstainer of salaah may be male or female they have same rulings.

O Abstainers of salaah or Oh people who show laziness or carelessness towards prayers! Do righteous deeds in the days that are remaining in your life, and repent for your faults, who knows how many days you are going to lice??

FEW MONTHS, FEW DAYS, FEW MINUTES OR JUST A FEW SECONDS?

Only Allah swt knows this. With this always remember the saying of

Allah swt in Surah Taha, chapter 20, v.no.74:

"Verily! Whosoever comes to his lord as a "Megrim" (disbeliever) then surely for him is Hell; therein he will neither die nor live."

And even this saying:

Surah Naziaat, chapter 79, v. No. 37-39:

"Then for him who "tagha" (transgressed), and preferred the life of this world, verily, his abode will be Hell fire"

May Allah swt give me and you guidance and success in every good and may Allah swt make you live a life according to shariah (Islamic laws) and make u a righteous person. AAMEEN

WALLAHU A'LAM WA SALLALLAHU ALA NABIYEENA MUHAMMAD WA ALA ALIHI WA SAHBIHI AJMAEEN.

So, dear reader what do you infer?

Are you shocked or still calm about this .Awake before it's too late .remember always that   abstaining of salaah is directly proportional to shameless ness

The more u leaves salaah the more shameless you become.

Suppose there comes a call of a meeting with the prime minister at 5:00 in the morning. Imagine your condition, you keep alarm, you sleep early and get prepared to face him the next day and we take all the necessary precautions. Is Allah not greater than a prime Minster?

Then why do we sleep when He calls us for Fajr prayers. We sleep under our blankets heedlessly .This is very serious thing, please i request you, think over it.

According to Surah Asr, chapter 103, v.no.1-3,

There are 4 criteria to enter Janna (paradise)

1) Having Iman (faith).

2) Doing righteous deeds (all 5 basic principles and others)

3) Recommend one another to truth.

4) Recommend one another to patience.

     And Allah swt knows the best!

# Translator's note: I am just a student, a learner. So certainly human beings make mistakes. I apologize for any mistake in this booklet’s request the reader to overlook the short comings and try to grasp the main subject of this service. I have attempted for the first time to translate Urdu to English which i used to think is impossible for me. But Allah swt rightly says in Surah Ankabout, chapter 29, v.no.69:

"As for those who strive hard in us (our cause) we will surely guide them to our paths (i.e.; Allah's religion Islamic Monotheism).And verily, Allah is with the Muhsinon (good doers)."

Lastly,

"Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate now after you have guided us but grant us mercy from your own presence ; for you are the best grantor (of bounties without measure).

"Our Lord! A accepts (this service) from us: for you are the All-hearing, All-Knowing."

"O Lord! Forgive us our sins, and anything we may have done that transgressed our duty. Establish our feet firm and help us against those that resist faith."
