Ingredients:
Serves approx. 4 people
2 cups green peas,
1 small onion,
1 tablespoon corn flour,
1 small piece ginger,
1 cup milk,
1 teaspoon pepper powder,
sugar and salt,
butter,
croutons
Method:
1. Cut onion into two halves. Boil together
peas, onion and ginger till soft.
2. Remove the water. Later, this water will
be used as a stock. Grind everything into a
pulp and strain it.
3. Add some stock, salt, pepper, sugar to
the pulp and bring it to a boil.
4. In another pan, heat 1 teaspoon butter.
Add corn flour and stir. Add milk. Keep
stirring to avoid lumps. When the mixture
starts thickening, remove from heat.
5. Add it to the boiling stock of peas and
onion. Stir and let it boil again. Once
bubbles rise on top, simmer for 5 minutes.
Serve hot soup garnished with croutons and a
dash of butter.
