Ingredients:
Spinach: 6-8 bunches
Khatta: 2 bunches
Green dill: ½ bunch
Fenugreek: ½ bunch
Potatoes: ¼ kg
Carrots: ¼ kg
Channa dal: 1 cup
Onions: ¼ kg
Tomatoes: ¾ kg
Green chillies: 8-10
Ginger: 2
Chilly powder: 2 ts
Garlic: 1 tb
Oil or ghee: ¼ cup
Salt: 3 ts
The Steps: Pre - Preparation :
Soak the channa dal and chop all the vegetables and
wash thoroughly.
Preparation :
1) Heat oil or ghee (leaving 2 tb behind), add
chopped onion and the
rest of the vegetables except garlic.
2) Add salt and 1 ts turmeric powder and chilly
powder and 2 cups of
water.
3) Cook till channa dal is tender, reduce heat and
mash with egg
beater thoroughly.
4) Now take remaining oil or ghee, heat small iron
fry pan, fry garlic
and add sai bhaji.
5) Cover for a few mins and serve.

1) Dry the bhaji and shallow-fry on griddle to make
sai bhaji tikki.
2) Serve with tomato sauce.
