Ingredients:
Green peas: 1 cup
Paneer: 2 cups
Water: 1 cup
Tomatoes: 2
Sugar: 1 ts
Ginger: 1 ts
Garlic: 1 ts
Turmeric powder: 1/4 ts
Chilly powder: 1 ts
Large onion: 1
Cloves: 3
Cumin seeds: 1 ts
Coriander seeds: 1 ts
Cardamoms: 2
Black pepper corns: 1/2 ts
Coriander leaves: 1/2 cup
Oil: 1/4 cup
Salt: To taste
The Steps: Pre - Preparation :
1) Cut the paneer into 1-inch cubes and grate the
ginger and garlic.
2) Chop the coriander leaves.
Preparation :
1) Chop the onion and tomato finely and keep aside.
2) Roast cloves, cumin, pepper corns, cardamoms and
coriander seeds
in a frying pan without oil for 5 mins on medium
heat.
3) Remove from heat, let it cool and powder it.
Keep aside.
4) Now, heat oil in a skillet and when it is hot,
add chopped onion,
grated ginger and garlic, turmeric, enough salt to
taste, chilly
powder and sugar.
5) Fry on medium heat and add the spice powder
prepared earlier.
6) Fry till onion turns dark brown.
7) Next, add peas and chopped tomatoes and fry for
3 mins on high heat.
8) Then, reduce the heat to medium, add water, stir
the mixture and
cover.
9) Cook until the water content has reduced to half
and now add
paneer cubes and stir well.
10) Cook for another 5 mins.
11) Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
