Ingredients:
River fish: 1 kg (Rohu)
Turmeric powder: 1 ts
Onion seeds: 2 ts
Salt: To taste
Mustard oil: 100 gms
Tomato: 50 gms
Green chilly: 20 gms
Red chilly: 20 gms
Fresh coriander leaves: 25 gms
The Steps:
Preparation :
1) Cut the fish into darnes after de-scaling and
apply salt and
turmeric.
2) Set aside for an hour.
3) Deep-fry the fish till crisp.
4) Smoke oil and crackle onion seeds.
5) Make a paste of turmeric and red chilly in 1/4
cup water and add
to the pan.
6) Add chopped tomatoes, and cook for 5 mins.
7) Throw in slit green chillies and salt.
8) Add fish pieces and simmer for 5 minutes.
