Ingredients:
Sesame seeds (Til) 1 cup
Sticky Jaggery 3/4 cup
Cardamom powder 1/2 tspn
Clarified Butter (Ghee) 2
tbspn
Method:
1. In a pan, heat the ghee
and the sesame seeds on a
low fire, stirring
continuously so that they do
not splutter and fall out of
the pan.
2. Cool the fried sesame
seeds. and after they are
cooled sufficiently, pound
them.
3.. Heat jaggery in 1/2 cup
water till the syrup is
thick.
4. Test its consistency by
putting a drop in cold water
-it should remain firm.
5. Add the roasted sesame to
the jaggery syrup and mix it
till smooth in consistency.
6. Add the cardamom powder
to this and mix well.
7. On a Greased board,
spread the mixture, and roll
into small balls.
8. Allow it to cool and
harden.
9. Store in a container
lined with butter paper.
