Ingredients:
Refined flour 100 gms
Sugar 50 gms
Butter 30 gms
Dalda 20 gms
Egg 2 tspn beaten
Orange essence 3 drops
Orange colour 3 drops
Milk powder 1 tspn
Powdered sugar 100 gms for
the butter cream
Butter 60 gms for the butter
cream
Method:
1. Sieve the flour into a
basin. Add the milk powder.
2. Add the butter and dalda
, and mix with a wooden
spoon.
3. Add the sugar and the
egg. Mix well.
4. Add the orange colour ,
essence and a little water
if required. Knead
thoroughly to form a smooth
dough.
5.Roll out the dough into a
1/4 inch thick sheet and cut
with a round biscuit
cutter.
6. Prick the biscuits gently
on the top with a fork.
7. Place on a greased tray
and bake in an oven at 350
degrees F for 20 minutes.
8. Remove from the oven cool
and keep aside.
To Make The Butter Cream:
9. In a basin mix the 100
gms of the sugar with the
butter.
10 .Mix thoroughly with a
wooden spoon until the sugar
is dissolved and the mixture
is smooth.
11. Take 2 biscuits and
apply a little butter on the
surface of one biscuit.
Press the other biscuit onto
the buttered surface.
12. Repeat the process for
the remaining biscuits.
